Is Mr. Anil Ambani's ego behind the issue of bonus shares? Or do they really care for the people who trusted in their IPO?
He had no reason to do this but its a welcome gesture irrespective of motives behind it. It will benefit all the investors who lost money on the first day of trading.

Yes he had no option. What else would one do in such a situation even after knowing that elder brother Mukesh Ambani was behind making this stock unsuccessful and behind the market crash. I read about this on another blog http://rilfraud.blogspot.com/2008/02/reliance-industries-ril-mukesh-ambani.html and was surprised. Then i also read the article on ET http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/Market_News/Why_R-Power_lost_17_on_debut/articleshow/2799651.cms which spoke the same thing but without much details.
